Caregivers Education Conference – April 15, 2026
The Outer Banks Dementia Friendly Coalition invites caregivers, family members, and community members to join us for a day of education, support, and connection. This conference is designed to provide practical tools, resources, and expert insight to help those caring for someone living with dementia.
Sessions will feature local experts discussing topics such as communication and behavioral changes in dementia, creative engagement strategies, and the importance of early diagnosis and emerging treatments like Lecanemab. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with community resources and other caregivers who understand the journey.
The event is free for caregivers and will be held at Kill Devil Hills Parks and Recreation.
